Just one day after Christmas, 1987, Randy "Macho Man" Savage challenged the Honky Tonk Man for the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Championship.

This matched stemmed from the imfamous Saturday Night's Main Event debacle that had Honky Tonk Man shoving down Elizabeth. Locked in a cage suspended from the roof was Honky Tonk Man's manager, Jimmy Hart. However, at ringside was none other than "Peggy Sue". "Peggy" was a pivitol person in this match. The match itself was a back and forth affair. As Randy gained the upper hand on Honky Tonk Man and looked as though he was about to win the title, "Peggy Sue" jumped into the action and quickly distracted Randy from the match by choking Elizabeth at ringside. Having been knocked out earlier in the match, the referee was able to watch as Honky Tonk Man hit Savage with the title belt from behind and knocked him to the floor. It was announced that due to disqualification, Randy was the winner of the bout. Savage quickly gathered himself and cleared the ring of everyone but "Peggy Sue". As he went to grab her by the hair, it fell off, revealing that "Peggy Sue" was actually wearing a wig!

As an interesting side note, this is one of the first times that Elizabeth and "Peggy Sue" would work together. "Peggy Sue" would later transform into "Sensational" Sherri and the fued between these two ladies has been well documented on WWE television.
