Allies with the Snake Man

We all remember the high profile feud between Macho Man Randy Savage and Jake "The Snake" Roberts, but do you remember the night Jake and Randy worked together to take out Andre The Giant?

The match was Macho Man Randy Savage defending his WWF World Title against Andre The Giant on Saturday Night's Main Event. The match really was not much to remember. Andre, as expected, manhandled Randy from the onset of the match. Every attempt at an offense by the Macho Man was quickly shut down by Andre. At one point Liz tried to make the referee aware of the fact that Andre was choking Randy with his shoulder strap but Andre's arms were so huge that the referee didn't see it and admonished Elizabeth for trying to interfere in the match.

Just as it seemed that Randy was doomed to lose his World Title, Jake "The Snake" Roberts made his way down to the ring with his snake "Damien". Jake quickly hid the snake under the ring before Bobby Heenan (Andre's manager) realized there was a visitor at ringside. Jake's presence quickly brough the match to a halt and the referee threatened to throw out the match if Jake didn't leave.

After conferring with Randy, Jake indeed left the ringside area but, noticeably, was without his snake. This put Andre into a panic and he quickly ordered Bobby to find the snake, while at the same time trying to fend off Randy's offense. Bobby did eventually find the snake and tryed to leave the ringside area with it. Little did Bobby know that Jake was waiting for him in the aisle. Jake backed Bobby all the way up to the ring and Bobby, without thinking, climbed into the ring to escape from Jake.

The referee immediately rang the bell and declared the match a double disqualification. Savage quickly went after Bobby and tossed him into Andre. The collision with Bobby got Andre tied up in the ring ropes. Jake went to get the snake out of the bag and just when it looked like Andre was going to have a close encounter with Damien, Heenan pulled him out from the ropes and the two quickly fled the ring as Randy, Jake and Elizabeth celebrated.
