WrestleMania VII

March 21, 1991

It was the be all/end all of either The Ultimate Warrior or Macho Man Randy Savage's career.

Before the match was beginning Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan were talking, and you saw a weird look come over Heenan's face. He then proceeds to ask "camera man, bear with me, is that the Lovely Elizabeth??!?" We then see a glimpse of Elizabeth with a front row seat, looking anxious for the match to begin. She has donned short hair, and is clad in stars and sequins. I believe this is the first time, the fans got to see Elizabeth in anything but a glamorous dress, but she looked even more beautiful than before! Heenan then proceeds to state that Elizabeth was there only to gloat, while Monsoon said that she had every right to be there, as she had been with Randy Savage since the start of his career. We then see the entrance of Randy Savage, and Sensational Sherri. As they were carried past where Elizabeth was sitting, the cameraman was more interested in focusing in on Elizabeth than Randy and Sherri.

The camera man would focus in on Elizabeth throughout the entire match. You could tell how nervous she was, and how much it was killing her to watch from the sidelines. Ultimately, Randy would put up a great fight against the Warrior, but lost the match. The warrior took his victory lap around the ring, and soon exited the ring. Randy Savage was still face down in the ring. Sherri entered the ring, soon realizing that her career was over as well in disbelief. She was throwing up her hands, and screaming at a barely conscience Randy Savage. She then ripped off the bottom part of her skirt, started screaming again and kicked Randy Savage. She continued to deliver several blows to his ribcage/stomach area. They cut to Elizabeth in the crowd, who was on her feet, fists clenched and eyes welled up with tears. The showed Sherrie grabbing Randy by the hair and smashing his face into the mat, then they cut to Elizabeth, who was pulling herself over the barrier.

Once over she ran (heels and all!) to the ring. She hopped onto the mat, and into the ring, ripped Sherri off of Randy by the hair, jerked her up and threw her outside of the ring! The referee dove out of the ring and was trying to push Sherrie back to the dressing room area. Elizabeth went to check on Randy, and tried to get him on his feet. He flung his arm out wanting to be left alone. But, Elizabeth continued to help Randy to his feet, and once he was, he turned around and about threw a punch at Elizabeth, who in which screamed. He then saw it was Elizabeth who was standing in front of him. He pointed a finger in her face not knowing if it was her or Sherri that was beating him. Words were exchanged by Elizabeth and Randy, with a screaming, ranting and raving Sherrie outside the ring. The referee told Randy it was Sherrie who was beating him, and then got Sherrie out of ringside, leaving Randy and Elizabeth in the ring. Elizabeth was crying, with her arms out stretched for a hug. But Randy was still in disbelief. More words were exchanged, and we then saw Randy open his arms and Elizabeth ran into them. He picked her up, and held her tightly. He gently put her back down, said something to her and raised her arm in victory. Then after two years, he once again picked Elizabeth up, and put her onto his shoulder. The fans roared with happiness. The camera cut to three different people, two women and a little boy that were simply in tears over this emotional reunion. The commentary by Bobby Heenan was also the comic relief that the viewers needed. As Randy carried Elizabeth around the ring, she was still crying, but smiling that dazzling smile, and waving to the fans, who were loving ever second of it!

After Randy put her down, she went to the ropes and held them open for Randy as she had done hundreds of times before over the years. Randy would have no part of it. He pulled Elizabeth off of the ropes, and being the "Macho Man" that he is, held the ropes open for Elizabeth. She went through and jumped down off of the mat, and watched as Randy said goodbye to his fans. You could see that Randy kept saying "Unbelievable" and shaking his head. After he said goodbye, he jumped out of the ring, and pulled Elizabeth into a hug, and raised her arm once again. He and Elizabeth made their way back towards the backstage area, Randy holding Elizabeth the entire way, and hugging her once more before they made it backstage. There wasn't a dry eye around.

They gave an instant replay of Randy lifting Elizabeth up on his shoulder, stating that this moment will go down in history. And it did. It's one of the greatest Elizabeth moments ever.

When Randy had entered the ring, people were booing him and wanting him to lose. Which he did. He lost his career but got his loving Elizabeth back. And by the time he left the ring, he was a hero, and people loved him again because of one reason: Elizabeth.
