Dusty's "WrestleMania Moment"
April 1, 1990
After nearly a year away from ringside, Miss Elizabeth made a surprise return at WrestleMania VI managing Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire as they battled Randy Savage and Sensational Sherri in the first ever Mixed Tag Team match.
The annoucement of Elizabeth by Rhodes immediately sent Savage into a rage and he immediately began bad mouthing and pointing an accusatory finger at Elizabeth. Liz, however, seemed unphased by any of this and stood firmly in the corner of The American Dream. The match itself quickly devolved into an all out brawl with both the men and the women taking turns at each other. At one point, Sapphire was thrown to the floor by Savage and Elizabeth was right there to make sure she was okay.
Towards the end of the match, Sapphire tossed Sherri to the outside of the ring. Elizabeth, not missing a step, grabbed Sherri and threw her right back in to the ring. This infuriated Sherri and, after escaping a pin attempt by Sapphire, she immediately went after Elizabeth and triend to swing at her through the ropes. Liz dodged the swing, grabbed Sherri by the hair and pushed her backwards over a kneeling Sapphire. Sapphire then quickly covered Sherri and scored the three count and victory.
As Dusty's theme music played, Liz joined the two winners in the ring and began to dance to the music. In a later interview, Dusty Rhodes said that everyone in the wrestling business looks for their WrestleMania moment. He said that his WrestleMania moment was introducing Miss Elizabeth at WrestleMania VI.
