For weeks leading up to Halloween Havoc 1996, Elizabeth tried to apologize to Randy in person for the bad career choices she made in WCW. After leaving the Four Horsemen and joining the nWo, Elizabeth almost immediately realized the mistake she made and desperately tried to make ammends with Randy.

After trying unsuccessfully to get Savage to listen to her, Eric Bischoff stopped Randy on his way to a match in the ring. There was a TV set up in the aisle and Bischoff told Randy he "owed it to her" to listen to what she had to say. In the taped interview Elizabeth apologized for the things she did and said to hurt Randy. She said she's the one that has to live with the bad decisions she made and one of the worst was signing with the nWo knowing Hogan was using her to hurt Randy. She ended the interview by stating she felt the same way about Randy then as she did the day they said "I do".

After the taped interview, Eric Bischoff tried to get a response from Randy, however, he was so upset at what he had just heard that he immediately left the arena.
