Just one week prior to this appearance in Boston, Ric Flair and the Four Horsement made their triumphant return to World Championship Wrestling, much to the chagrin of Eric Bischoff.

This storyline was rooted partly in reality as Ric Flair had been fired from WCW for missing a WCW show to attend his son's wrestling tournament. Upon his return to WCW, Flair took it upon himself to confront Eric Bischoff in the middle of the ring. By Eric's side was his assistant, Miss Elizabeth.
