Initial Reports
May 4th 2003 @ 18.20 GMT:
The Marietta Daily Journal has posted an article online about Lex Luger's (Larry Pfohl) recently problems with the law, which began before his drug arrest on Thursday when police found illegal substances in his home while investigating the death of Elizabeth Hulette.
On April 19th, he was arrested following a fight in the garage of his townhouse, where police found Elizabeth with two bruised eyes, a bump on her head and a cut lip. Luger was charged with a misdemeanour count of battery and released on $2,500 bond.
On April 21st, Luger was arrested for driving under the influence after rear-ending another car while driving his Porsche. According to the report on the arrest, Luger had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and could not locate his driver's license. Luger had a 9-mm handgun in the car (the article did not mention if Luger had a permit for the gun or not). Elizabeth was a passenger in the car, and was sent home in a taxicab. Luger was also driving with a suspended license for not appearing in court on March 5th for a hearing on a previous offence (driving with expired tags and having no proof of insurance).
As we have covered extensively on the site this past week, Luger was arrested on Thursday and charged with 13 counts of felony purchase and possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanour count of possession, sale and distribution of Saizen (a synthetic growth hormone). Police found anabolic steroids, testosterone, hydrocodone, Xanax (anti-anxiety drug), and other controlled substances in his house. He spent Thursday night in jail and was released on bond this morning. Local media reports say the bond amount was $27,500, although the Marietta Daily Journal says the bond was $25,000.
