The Maestro Reacts to Elizabeth's Death
Former WCW star Maestro shared some thoughts on the passing of Miss Elizabeth (Elizabeth Hulette) in his recent online column.
"I was deeply saddened by the passing of Miss Elizabeth. In and out of the ring, she displayed such class and elegance. One of the first female divas to help pave the way for many female wrestling personalities today.
"I remember one time at a WCW event, some of my family stopped by to see me at a Nitro TV taping. Elizabeth came out of her dressing room, curlers in her hair and all, and took time to speak with my family until I came out to see them.
"It really made their day, and it just was another example of what a kind soul she was. Hearing about her through Randy Savage, I can see why he talked so highly of her. She would even laugh with me when Lex Luger was kinda irritated when WCW would have him sit in the crowd at some of the Nitros.
"Speaking of Luger, I am really sorry for what happened to him, but I will reserve my thoughts on that matter until further information is released. Miss Elizabeth will always live in our hearts and will forever be the grace and beauty of professional wrestling."
